Non-stick silicone sock instead of the cotton isolation is convenient.And most importantly,it offers a huge boost in temperature stability, especially if you use high flow of cooling air around the nozzle to cool the print. Silicone socks will keep the print head stay clean and prevent the filament from sticking to the heater block or spout.
